The Derweze area is rich in natural gas. While drilling in 1971, Soviet geologists tapped into a cavern filled with natural gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a large hole with a diameter of 70 metres (230 ft) and while geologists had hoped the fire would consume the fuel in a few days, the gas is still burning nearly fifty years later. 

Locals have named the crater the "Door to Hell".

Perder Peso nunca foi nem nunca será uma tarefa fácil... Caso fosse, não haveriam pessoas com sobrepeso nesse mundo, salvo raras excessoes. Acredito profundamente que ninguém gosta de ser gordo (ou acima do peso, forma politicamente correta). Mas ao mesmo tempo poucos conseguem reverter do quadro da obesidade sem intervencao medica (cirurgia do estomago) ou algum outro tipo de medicamento. Por que alguem poderia perguntar ? Por que isso acontece ? Minha conclusao: FALTA DE DISCIPLINA !!! Com excessao de poucos casos de doencas, como obesidade morbida ou algum outro tipo de condicao que afeta o individuo, ser gordo em minha opiniao é puramente OPÇÃO. Ninguém obriga ninguém a comer feito louco, comer exageradamente, ou comer além do necessário.
