"Kids" is a duet by singers Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue, released as the second single from Sing When You're Winning, Williams' third studio album, and the third single from Light Years, Minogue's seventh studio album.[2] Williams and his then songwriting partner Guy Chambers co-wrote the song for Minogue.
The track was written when Minogue approached Williams to write her some songs for what would be her first album under Parlophone, Light Years. It was then that Williams felt the chemistry and decided to turn the song into a duet as well as include the track on his album and release it as a single. It was released on 9 October 2000 and reached number two in the United Kingdom while becoming a top-10 hit in five other countries. The music video for the song contains several references to the musical film Grease, particularly in the choreography between Williams and Minogue.[3]
Chart performance
The song became a hit in the United Kingdom, reaching number two and selling over 200,000 copies to earn a silver certification from the BPI.[4] The track also entered the top 10 in Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, and Portugal, and it peaked at number 14 in Minogue's native Australia, where "Kids" is certified gold for shipments of over the 35,000 copies.[5] The lyrics, although penned by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers, make numerous references to the careers of both Minogue and Williams. Minogue's lyric "I've been dropping beats since Back in Black" is a self-deprecating reference to her 1980s pop image when she was known as the singing budgie from Australia—Back in Black being a 1980s album by Australian band AC/DC and of a stark contrast to her own style at the time. Later, in 2010, this song is used as the theme song of Junior Masterchef Australia.

An Introduction to Lenormand Cards: Plus Lenormand Card Meaning List AUG 10, 2017 While the main focus of Labyrinthos Academy has always been the Tarot, lately I’ve been experimenting with other practices that have the potential to work alongside those beloved decks of that I hold so dear. One of the more interesting and dynamic combinations I’ve found during these little experiments has been Lenormand Cards. Lately, I’ve been so inspired, that I’ve been working on a Lenormand deck, which you can start taking a peek at here! What are Lenormand Cards? Tarot and other forms of cartomancy have been around for as long as playing cards themselves have existed - and the history of the whole practice spans well over six centuries. For many decades now, Tarot has been the main focus of those interested in spirituality and self-development. While they were once used for divination, we actually argue here that their most potent use is not in telling the future, but as a tool fo...

RepRap - RepRap RepRap is humanity's first general-purpose self-replicating manufacturing machine . RepRap takes the form of a free desktop 3D printer capable of printing plastic objects. Since many parts of RepRap are made from plastic and RepRap prints those parts, RepRap self-replicates by making a kit of itself - a kit that anyone can assemble given time and materials. It also means that - if you've got a RepRap - you can print lots of useful stuff , and you can print another RepRap for a friend ... RepRap is about making self-replicating machines , and making them freely available for the benefit of everyone. We are using 3D printing to do this, but if you have other technologies that can copy themselves and that can be made freely available to all, then this is the place for you too. Reprap.org is a community project , which means you are welcome to edit most pages on this site, or better yet, create new pages of ...

Buddhist Views on Supernatural Powers There is a nice story that illustrates the attitude of Gautama Buddha toward the tendency of some people to strive for miraculous powers in their spiritual practice . One day the Buddha came across an ascetic who was sitting by a river bank. This ascetic was known for his spiritual practice of austerity for good 25 years. The Buddha asked the ascetic, given all his hard work and labor, what he had received as a reward. The man replied with pride that, he was able to cross the river by walking on the water. The Buddha pointed in the direction of the ferry, indicating that the gain of the man was insignificant. He could, after all, cross the river for just one penny by using a ferry! This story probably has different layers of meanings. One meaning could certainly be the message that we have to live our lives happily, performing our everyday duties, rather than chasing miracles and supernatural powers. After all, why are we he...
25 Alan Watts Quotes to Teach You the Transformative Power of Insighs Pin A prolific author and speaker, Alan Wilson Watts is credited with the interpretation and introduction of Eastern philosophy to the Western audience. As his mother’s students were children of missionaries to Asia, Watts began to be fascinated by Asian art, literature, and philosophy; so in time, he learned Chinese and started to explore the fundamental beliefs and practices of religions and philosophies of India and East Asia. After a rigorous research in Zen Buddhism, Watts published one of the first books on the topic – The Way of Zen – introducing the burgeoning youth culture to it. Due to all the wisdom it embodies, Watts even suggested that Buddhism could be presented and taught as a form of psychotherapy, and not only as a religion. Alan Watts is the author of more than 25 books on various topics such as philosophy, Eastern and Western religion, natural history, semanti...
