​A Naga sadhu, or naked Hindu holy man, jumps in the Godavari River during Kumbh Mela, or Pitcher Festival, at Trimbakeshwar in Nasik, India, Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. Hindus believe taking a dip in the waters of a holy river during the festival, will cleanse them of their sins. According to Hindu mythology, the Kumbh Mela celebrates the victory of gods over demons in a furious battle over a nectar that would give them immortality.

  The Oldest known musical melody performed by the very talented Michael Levy on the Lyre. This ancient musical fragment dates back to 1400 B.C.E. and was discovered in the 1950's in Ugarit, Syria.   Buddhist Views on Supernatural Powers There is a nice story that illustrates  the attitude of Gautama Buddha  toward the tendency of some people to strive for miraculous powers in their  spiritual practice . One day the Buddha came across an ascetic who was sitting by a river bank. This ascetic was known for his spiritual practice of austerity for good 25 years. The Buddha asked the ascetic, given all his hard work and labor, what he had received as a reward. The man replied with pride that, he was able to cross the river by walking on the water. The Buddha pointed in the direction of the ferry, indicating that the gain of the man was insignificant. He could, after all, cross the river for just one penny by using a ferry! This story probably has different layers of meanings. Isso ocorre porque há muitos padrões no mercado. Existe uma equivalência aproximada entre elas, mas as usuais estão em Polegadas Inglesas x BWG, JP x LPP e ainda o padrão métrico oficial, mm x mm. Entenda o que significam estas siglas: Polegadas Inglesas: multiplique o número correspondente por 25,4 para ter o comprimento em mm. BWG (Birmingham Wire Gauge) e JP (Jauge de Paris): são tabelas próprias que indicam o diâmetro do prego. LPP (Linhas Por Polegadas Portuguesas): multiplique o número correspondente por 2,3 para ter o comprimento em mm.
