The Frail Constitution of Life by Ivan C. Possamai - Oct 20th 2021
Life...
In almost every case taken for granted.
"An apple tree makes apples as the world people's"... Alan Watts said once. I couldn't agree less with this remarkable observation. WE ARE ALL A PRODUCT OF THIS WORLD.
This world, a SPACESHIP and we are all riding on it. Unstoppably Traveling, spinning, floating in the infinite universe. Hanging by a thread between the sun and the moon enabling life as we know it.
(Once we have made a base in Mars lived, gave birth, produced food, water and oxygen in Mars, we would probably be able to assert that WORLD PEOPLES. (funny) and SPACESHIP is also the name of the vessels that will bring us to Mars through SPACEX/Elon Musk.
Now, I will take a bold step and further expand this concept to say THE WORLD = LIF'E'S! In other words, until proven contrary, the WORLD is the sole source for Life.
Everything runs as sub-products of Atoms and substances that "are present", since the beginning of time, and transformed themselves through billions of years. (4 billions earth/15 billions the universe according to specialists).
Now Life in this world is funny and super interesting. It comes and goes...
After weighing bodies after life and death a scientist found that our soul weights approximately only 21 grams...
21 Grams is what we leave in the ether.
On the subject about fragility of life, 3 events were marked it in 3 consecutive days.
In a span of three days, 3 separate events exploded in my mind this concept of the fragility of existence.
Today is Wednesday October the 20th. Three Days ago on the 17th we've discovered that our dear friend Maria Socci almost died from a blood infection. When she gave birth 4 months ago to Draco, her placenta was not completely expelled from her uterus. It ended up causing an infection which eventually infected her blood stream. A couple more days and it could have been fatal!
One Day Alive and Well the Other Bad and Dead. Isn't it frightening the realization of the reality of how frail life truly is. Life could change in a blink of an eye.
We theoretically only live once and should make the best out of it. We are all living on borrowed time. Borrowed time protected by Spaceship Earth which also has its own dangers and can collect and rescind our lives at any time and moment it wishes.
We have to be careful and use our time wisely. Carpem Diem.
Not only humans but also all sentient beings and living things.
Take the 18th then... one day after. We are in the beach, Santa Rosa Island, Florida, Close to Pensacola Beach and Louisiana.
A total paradise. A stretch of untouched sand and native forest that extends along for miles, in a beautiful line of white virgin sand.
After spending the entire night and the morning sleeping, all alone, in the middle of the sand watching the moving of the stars in the sky going from one side of the infinite black to the other, together with a enormous bright full moon. The winds of the beginning of winter blowing at us, while we are cuddled bellow two sleeping bags, keeping each other warm with our dogs at our feet.
After this glamorous night we woke up to the most amazing sunrise ever imagined! Seeing the sky turn from black to white, yellow, to orange, red until finally a fire ball starts to peek up bursting in the sky and making light visible on whatever it touches.
While all of this magnificent and unique spectacle of life was happening, in the morning our little cutest dog in the world, our Yorkshire Nina was feeling sick and vomiting water.
She hadn't eaten the day before or that morning, the entire way 7 hours drive back home we had to stop on the side of the road to allow her to vomiting. She is small and delicate. We were worried for her to say the last and on edge. got us on our edge.
We thought we were going to lose her and only the thought of that made us shiver.
For the record we nursed Nina back to health and she was recovered.
This exemplifies once more the fragility of life! One second here... the other not anymore.
To finalize... after one month in a marvelous car road trip that took us from Orlando -Florida, to Colorado Springs, Boulder, Denver, Aspen, Glaciers, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland, Silver Falls, Roswell New Mexico and Finally Santa Rosa Pensacola Beach, we arrived back home.
We arrived back home just to find that we have almost lost everything. Including Rafael our son and our whole house.
It happens that, bestow to our knowledge, Rafael had a couple days before left the gas from the stove on all night.
By a Miracle the neighbor noticed the gas leak and reported it to the land lord who in turn cam over to evacuate our son from the apartment. Just a little spark and the whole apartment, in fact the whole building, would be thrown away in flames. Not to mention the possibility of him passing from natural gas poisoning.
Once again, one moment everything perfect... the other everything gone...
This shows once more, in just three events, in three days, how easily everyone's life can change in a split second, split wrong decision.
As luck and serendipity prevailed to us, , we found ourselves extremally happy and blessed that nothing happened in these cases and to ourselves or our loved ones.
However, these stories remind us of the fact that we are not here forever. That things can change at anytime and without notice. So we should never use any of our borrowed time in this earth and in this life time wasted on intrigues, fights, anger or any damaging or harmful behaviors.
Its not worth it... and after all.. life is too fragile to be wasted with that!
Live your life to the fullest and remember some simple facts to do it:
Enjoy every single moment that you live and always be in the present, be here now.
Always be kind and maintain a happy mind.
Enjoy being in the present in joy.
That's all you need!
Be safe and be blessed!
